KL Holiday Local Gift Guide: Fashion + Beauty

So we’re here. Maybe you thought that 2020 would write off the holiday season as well but, although it might be different this year, it’s coming. Like it’s already mid-November, guys. It’s comin’ in hot.

I’m not a big holiday shopper. I take gift giving seriously, and I always put a lot of TLC into the gifts that I buy. I don’t like to buy a gift just for the sake of buying one; I want it to mean something, and I put a lot of thought into what I get for the important people in my life who made my nice list. See what I did there?

This year, I’m shopping local. I’m trying as much as possible to support the local businesses that are keeping their heads above water amidst a global pandemic and who, even in non-COVID times, simply have something really great to offer. They have creative ideas, they work hard and they offer something magical… let’s support them!

This is part 1 of 4 local holiday gift guides, and I’m hoping that I can inspire you to make a difference through your holiday shopping this year. First up, I’m sharing 5 fashion and beauty picks for the beauty babes in your life! You already know that I’m a total shopaholic, fashion and beauty junkie – so it was a no brainer that we would get the ball rolling with this category.

Alena Kirby

If you know me, or have been around for awhile, you know that I worked many many years at Alena Kirby. I’m an AK girl through and through, and this is always my number one destination for any gifts – holidays or not! There are so many fashion items from scarves, to hats, gloves, handbags, jewelry and more. At every price point, to suit any style!

Liv Jewelry

I discovered Liv Jewelry just a few months ago, and this female owned jewelry company is now an everyday staple for me. I wear her pieces daily, and my sister and I both drool over all of the pieces that she is constantly launching. Such great quality at an awesome price point, so much variety, and seriously… she’s the sweetest boss babe around.

Hudson Soap Co.

Because who doesn’t like a handmade self-care treat and I can PROMISE you that her soaps smell absolutely incredible. Hudson Soap Co. offers a wide range of scents in the cutest packaging, and it truly does make the sweetest little gift or stocking stuffer. Joelle Makeup

Permanent makeup has come a long, long way, and Joelle stays on top of all the beauty trends and is so skilled and passionate about what she does. If there’s someone special in your life who has been talking about brow treatments, lash lifts or microblading for awhile… now might be the right time!

Glow MTL

Everybody needs a little Glow MTL in their life! Spray tans are such a treat and personally, I would love it if Santa left a few of them under the tree for me. Spray tans are not something everyone can justify spending on, so offering a glow gift might just be the way to go! She also does the best facials and carries incredible skincare products. I’ve incorporated so many of her products into my own skincare routine!
