KL Holiday Local Gift Guide: Home + Décor

I enjoy the finer things in life. I love small details, and I always appreciate a strong aesthetic, and a carefully curated experience for the senses. This applies to all areas of my life, but to my home especially.

We’re spending a lot of time at home. Personally, give or take a few meetings and gym sessions (when that’s a thing), I work and spend most of my time at home, in my sweat pants, my hair in a messy bun. Yes, true story. It has become increasingly important for me to create a space that I feel inspired by, and that allows me to be creative and productive.

I’ve rounded up a few local gift ideas for the person in your life who is all about home décor, appreciates aesthetic and/or might be a little bit hard to shop for. You know who you are, don’t kid yourselves.

Oh Fleurs!

By now, you will know that I am totally and completely addicted to plants. I have many, and I have gone full Plant Mama since the beginning of this pandemic. My plant babies make me happy and, let’s face it: they really do make a space. If you’re looking around your space and wondering what’s missing, try a plant and thank me later.

Muse of Mine

A newer discovery of mine, this boss babe makes the most beautiful art that anyone would love to have to display in their homes. She offers a wide range of beautiful prints, and is all about supporting and empowering women… which makes her, like, a 100% times more amazing if you ask me!

Muse of Mine and I have a collaboration for the month of November where you can purchase the print seen in the picture above, and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Women’s Foundation. It makes a stunning gift for the holidays for moms, sisters, friends, and any other boss babes that you might have in your life!

I love a good candle. I have so many of them and there’s always one lit in my space. It sets the mood, looks amazing and smells incredible. Phoenix is a local female owned business that sells hand crafted goods that seriously make a beautiful gift. PS: Her holiday and Winter collection is simply to die for.

Au Naturel Soy Candles

If you thought I could limit myself to only one candle recommendation, you were wrong. Au Naturel is another local favorite of mine, and has been for many years! This boss mama is always coming up with creative ideas, has a wide range of candles, bath and body products, and is expanding into a bigger space. She’s doing it, guys. And her products are AMAZING.

Lualoha

The most versatile gift that you can offer for the holidays! Lualoha offers the most stunning Turkish towels that you can use in SO many different ways. You can use them as a throw blanket, as a pool towel, a hair towel, and you can easily throw them into your suitcase without them taking too much space. I mean, who knows when we’ll travel again, but it’s nice to know that it’s an option. (LOL)
